Teaching moment: You should never enter any password anywhere unless you see "https://", followed by a site you trust (www.google.com in this case), followed by a closing "/". On the other hand, in cases where you do see that, you can be pretty sure it's safe. (Or, as safe as it will ever be.) I guess we've all learned something today!
